METAWAVE Takes the Spotlight at A.SPIRE Conference

The METAWAVE project has achieved an important milestone at the recent A.SPIRE Annual Conference, where it was voted as the “top initiative transforming the EU process industry”. This recognition highlights the project’s innovative approach to advancing sustainability and energy efficiency in manufacturing.

During the event, Valia Iliopoulou, Energy and Resource Efficiency Unit Leader at CORE Group, presented METAWAVE in the session on “Electrification and Energy Efficiency.” Her presentation introduced the project’s objectives, expected results, and how Industry 4.0 tools can enhance energy efficiency, flexibility, and resilience in the process industry. She also addressed the challenges manufacturers face under the REPowerEU plan, linking METAWAVE’s vision to broader European Green Deal goals.

This acknowledgment from the A.SPIRE and Processes4Planet Partnership is a significant achievement for METAWAVE, which has only recently begun its journey. It reflects the project’s potential to drive impactful change in the EU process industry.
